Highlights 2013

January 2013
2013 Moselle Wine Forum
More than 150 first-class wines from more than 100 wineries in the entire Moselle region will be presented in the Forum Baths at Viehmarkt Square.
February 2013
Rose Monday Parade
Carnival goings-on, a bag full of Carnival fans, Mardi Gras atmosphere ... the Trier Rose Monday parade invites one and all to join in the celebration!
ABBA - The Show
In February 2013 ABBA THE SHOW, the ultimate ABBA Tribute Show, returns for 16 performances to Germany, Austria, the Netherlands, and Switzerland.
March 2013
Atze Schröder
Following over ten years on the Mt. Olympus of Comedy Gods, Atze Schröder unmercifully ratchets up a notch.
SEEED
SEEED will perform in the Trier Arena on March 7, 2013, and have brought with them their classics along with their current album.
9th Trier Easter Market
Easter articles, hand-crafted articles, and seasonal specialties will be on offer just in time for Spring.
Shopping Sunday
Shopping freaks can use this Sunday from 1:00 to 6:00 p.m. to stroll through the Trier inner city, have a look around in many stores – and shop, of course.
Iconic Figure Karl Marx
On the occasion of the 130th anniversary of the death of Karl Marx in March 2013, the Trier Municipal Museum Simeonstift will present a comprehensive exhibit.
German “Schlager” Hits of the Year
Rousing party with hits one after the other! In the spring of 2013 the superstars of the German “Schlager” are going together on a grand tour.
6th Medieval Market
The Trier fairgrounds hall will be teeming with merchants, craftsmen, cookshops, taverns, jugglers, and players.
April 2013
Active Week "Trier Holiday Region: Hiking Paradise"
Guided hiking and cycling tours in the lovely Trier Holiday Region, organized by the Tourist Information Trier. Convenient package offers can also be booked.
Chris de Burgh & Band
Variety is always guaranteed in his concerts – with a repertory of around 140 of his own compositions, from which he will select at least 30 for this concert evening!

The Australian Pink Floyd Show
This time the Australians have placed their tour under the motto "Eclipsed by the Moon" – appropriate for the 40th anniversary of the Pink Floyd album "Dark Side of the Moon".
Unheilig & special guest
With his charm and charisma, Der GRAF is unforgettably fascinating. With his tour, he will give a guest performance "Lichter der Stadt II - Letzter Halt" (City Lights II – Last Stop).
Massachusetts – The Bee Gees Musical
From "To Love Somebody" and "Massachusetts" to the hot Saturday Night Fever era to their last great album "You Win Again" at end of the 1980s.

International Museum Day

Martin Rütter
With his new program "Der tut nix!" (He won’t hurt you), the comedian and dog whisperer Martin Rütter will also pay a visit to the Trier Arena, on May 28, 2013.

Moselle Music Festival
With its more than 50 concerts and events, the Moselle Music Festival is the largest and oldest classical music festival in Rhineland-Palatinate.
33rd Trier Craftsmen's Market
Potters, gold- and silversmiths, woodturners, metalsmiths, texile designers, bell casters, candle makers, and basket weavers will show their highly valuable artistic wares.
Trier Moselle Festival
Stroll along the embankment promenade; listen to the sounds of live music, and try out the delicacies in the old fishermen’s village of Zurlauben. The fireworks display on Saturday night!
Elephant Parade
Colorful elephant statues will decorate the streets and squares in Trier and Luxembourg City and will form an "art gallery" open to everyone.
Nabucco - opera by Guiseppe Verdi
On July 25, 2013, Guiseppi Verdi’s "Nabucco" will be performed in a production by the "Venezia Festival Opera" in Trier’s historical Amphitheater.
Italian Night
Belcanto and gourmet delights: Highlights from the great operas of Bellini, Rossini, Donizetti, and Verdi served up with Mediterranean taste treats.

Starting at 6:00 p.m., special programs, tours, delicious cuisine, and live music will provide extraordinary atmosphere in four Trier museums.
Max Raabe & Palast Orchester
Trier will again play host to Max Raabe & Palast Orchester – his new program this time around: "Für Frauen ist das kein Problem!" (Not a problem for women!)

Otto
Super comedian OTTO will be touring through Germany in 2013 with his new program "Geboren um zu blödeln!". He’ll be stopping for a while in the Trier Arena on October 25, 2013.
