Baggage storage

Where do you put your baggage/hiking backpack in Trier?

  • Bicycle garage Porta Nigra Wo?
    Our bicycle garage can be found right next to the Porta Nigra. Here you have the chance to hand over your baggage or your hiking backpack.

    Fees/opening hours

    Fees: The fee is € 1.50 per day and piece of baggage
    Opening hours: May 1 to October 31: Monday to Saturday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Sunday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

  • Lockers in the main train station
    You can find lockers to store your baggage in Trier’s main train station.
    Fees: € 1.50 (small lockers) or € 2.50 (large lockers) per 24 hours.

There are numerous designated Nordic walking routes in the Trier Holiday Region. A list is available here.

Trier

  • Three designated walking routes are available to you in Trier’s Weisshaus Forest. You can find an overview of the routes here.

Central Moselle

  • Mehring/Pölich: cross country woodchip track for Nordic-Walking

Upper Moselle / Saar Valley

  • Konz: Nordic walking trail in Konz and surrounding districts with five routes as well as cross country woodchip track for Nordic walking in the district Niedermennig
  • Irsch: Nordic walking trail with three routes
  • Mannebach: Nordic walking trail with five routes
  • Nittel: Nordic walking trail with three routes
  • Ockfen: Nordic walking trail with three routes
  • Palzem: Nordic walking trail with three routes
  • Pellingen: Nordic walking trail with three routes
  • Saarburg: Nordic walking trail with six routes
  • Schoden: Nordic walking trail with three routes
  • Trassem: Nordic walking trail with three routes
  • Wawern: Nordic walking trail with three routes
  • Wiltingen: Nordic walking trail with three routes

Ruwer Valley / Hunsrück / Hochwald

  • Kell am See: Four designated walking trails between 1.4 and 6.8 miles (2.3 and 11 kilometers) in length

Southern Eifel / Sûre Valley

  • Zemmer: Nordic walking trail “Fidei” with seven designated routes. You can find an overview of the trails here.
