Since July 13, 2006, the former facilities of the 2004 State Garden Show have had the name “Petrispark.” Used by the French Army (Belvédère Casern) until 1999, the grounds today offer varied recreational and leisure facilities.

Opening hours for visitors

The opening times apply to the park areas Ridge Park, Flower Beds, Gardens of the Sister Cities, and Gardens of the Region.

January 1 – March 31: 8:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
April 1 – September 15: 8:30 a.m. – 10:00 p.m.
September 16 – October 15: 8:30 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
October 16 – December 31: 8:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.

Open-air stage

Just as during the year of the Garden Show, the Lotto Forum is available for cultural events. The roofed seating area for the open-air stage seats about 500 people and is integrated architecturally into the existing topography. The audience sits in a half circle and looks out over the central staging area onto the landscape. A restaurant with beer garden is located adjacent.

In the direct vicinity of the recreational area, several groups of houses are currently being built as well as the Science and Technology Park, an industrial park for technology companies.
