Roman Villa Bollendorf

Upriver from the Bollendorf castle are the remains of a Roman villa which was discovered during excavations from 1907 to 1910. The Bollendorf villa with its corner projections (corner towers) and the connecting colonnaded porch is the most well-known representative of the typical country estate manor in the Moselle and Rhineland areas. A large hall with cellar stairs and cellar lie behind the porch, with the bath on the left.
