Placed under the sign of the Romans, the tour begins with the central building of antiquity and the most famous of the city, the Porta Nigra. Afterwards you will experience the fascinating time of the Middle Ages with the House of the Three Magi (Dreikönigenhaus), the Jew's Alley (Judengasse) and the Hauptmarkt, where defensive citizens tried to protect their belongings through architectural tricks, Peter became the city's patron and self-confident citizens fought against the bishop for imperial immediacy - a fight that sometimes also was fought with knights, monkeys, and church towers. And with the Domfreihof and the Electoral Palace, you will immerse yourself in the baroque splendor of modern era.
