Sommerau Castle Ruin

Located in the Ruwer Valley. It was built on a rock spur in the 13th century by the knights of the Trier family de Ponte. Noteworthy are the remains of a rectangular residential tower above a vaulted cellar of a castle that deteriorated in the 19th century

The facility, measuring 40 x 10 m (130 x 33 ft), was restored in 1979 - 80.
