UNESCO World Heritage Sites - Roman Structures and Churches

In 1986, Trier’s Roman structures as well as the Cathedral and the Church of Our Lady were placed on the UNESCO List of World Heritage Sites. With this honor, the special quality and distinctiveness of these monuments have been recognized, but a duty to proper care of the legacy entrusted to us has also been proclaimed.

With these special aspects in mind, but also with the idea of preservation of heritage, the tour introduces the large Roman monuments (Porta Nigra, Roman Imperial Throne Room, Imperial Baths, Amphitheater, the Cathedral and the Church of Our Lady).
