Walking Tour with a Trier Night Watchman

Accompany a Trier night watchman on his evening rounds; he’s furnished with a halberd, horn, and lantern as you walk through the streets and dark lanes of the city around 1830. This entertaining tour is rounded off with a glass of “viez,” Trier’s apple cider, and a small snack when you visit Trier’s oldest restaurant, the tavern “Zur Glocke.” This tour can be booked with either a German- or an English-speaking guide.

Entering the time almost 200 years ago will give you an insight into the social conditions in Trier in the 19th century.
