Züsch Hammer

It was here that the Hauzeur Company developed the largest iron works in the Hunsrück area at the beginning of the 17th century. The great facility comprised a crushing mill, a smelter, a hammer mill to break open iron ore, and a barn for storing charcoal.
Today you can experience a reconstructed hammer mill driven by water power. On view, for example, are objects employed in iron processing. The facility employees will explain the facility to you and set the hammer mill in operation.
