Group city tours and excursions

Booking
It is advisable to book a city tour or guide as early as possible, as in some months our schedules are very full. The booking order must be in writing (by e-mail, booking form, fax or letter). Cancellation
Cancellation is free of charge up to three days before the booked date for the tour. If the tour is cancelled two days before or 24 hours before the agreed date, 50% of the agreed price will be charged. If the cancellation is less than 24 hours before the tour or if the waiting period for the guide exceeds 30 minutes, 100% of the agreed price will be charged.
Coach hire
Coach tours always require your own vehicle (coach). With sufficient written advanced booking, Tourist Information Trier can hire a suitable vehicle (coach) for you if none is available to you.
Please note: The costume tours and themed tours are subject to other prizes. The exact prices can be found at the respective tours.
Fees / Basic Prices
• up to 2 hours: € 110, - (German), € 120, - (foreign languages)
every additional hour started: € 40, -
• All-day excursions (up to 8 hours, e.g. from 9am to 5pm)
€ 220, - (German), € 230, - (foreign languages)
Please note:
There are special fees for various tours (for example, costume tours and museum tours). Decisive is the fee mentioned with the respective Tour.
All fees are effective from the time arranged for the beginning of the tour. The guide will wait 30 minutes. Should you be delayed, please inform us, so that the tour may still take place. If the tour is interrupted (for example, by a lunch break), the continuation will be counted as an additional tour.
Possible admission prices are not contained in the tour fee.
Group size and composition
Walking tours: maximum 25 persons or one school class per guide.
Coach tours (with your own coach): one guide per coach. The guide has the right to refuse the tour if the group size exceeds 25.
Our well-trained team of guides can accommodate any age group, be it children, school groups, or adults, experts or interested lay persons, junior or senior citizens. Please inform us about the composition of your group, so that we may reserve suitable guides.
Languages
On request, we offer at this time our various tours for groups in the following languages: English, French, Dutch, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, Swedish, Norwegian, Finnish, Russian, Chinese, Japanese, Latin, Trier dialect and as well as German and international sign language. Bi-lingual tours are also available on request.
Meeting point
Tourist Information Trier, at the Porta Nigra.
A convenient place for travel coaches to stop (permitted only for leaving or boarding the bus or for picking up a guide) is located near the Porta Nigra in the Franz-Ludwig-Strasse.
Other meeting points, for example, at a hotel, must be expressly agreed upon. For meeting points outside the city center, we must charge travel costs.
Payment
Admission fees are to be paid in cash at the entrance desk of the respective monument or museum.
The fee for the tour is to be paid directly in cash to the guide; the guide will write out a receipt. Payment by invoice is possible only after previous arrangement, which must be made at least 2 days before the appointed date for the tour.
Scheduling
Please take careful note of the opening hours of the monuments, museums and churches when you schedule your tour.

The Trier Tourismus und Marketing GmbH - Tourist Information Trier operates as agent for the booked services. It does not assume liability for damages which may occur, such as delays or alterations in bookings caused by traffic problems, unforeseen closings of structures, etc. The customer is obligated to observe the terms of the contract and has no claim to additional services. With the booking, the customer accepts all provisions of the contract. Court of jurisdiction is Trier.
