Macbeth * Lady transforms Shakespeare's bloodiest tragedy into a modern play about ambition, gender roles, and the eternal curse of the theater.
Amidst witches, humor, and high tension, Macbeth loses himself in the fog of his own prophecy and, of course, blames his wife entirely.
Macbeth, a celebrated war hero, encounters three witches in the fog of the heath after a victory. What they say sounds at first like mockery, then like a promise—and finally like a poison eating away at his thoughts. When the first parts of the prophecy seem to actually come true, ambition becomes certainty: The throne is no longer a dream, but a plan. And a plan requires action.
Macbeth * Lady consistently portrays this escalation as a chain reaction: A word spoken at the wrong time, a glance that means too much, a misunderstanding in the marriage—and suddenly the world is turned upside down.
But beware, takeover! Lady Macbeth steps out of the shadows and takes over the stage.
