It was here that he met the love of his life, Jenny von Westphalen, it was here that his teacher Johann Hugo Wyttenbach moulded him, and it was here that he witnessed the fate of the impoverished farmers and Moselle winegrowers up close. The tour follows in Marx’s footsteps though Trier, from his birth house on Brückenstrasse to his home at the Porta Nigra, from his former grammar school to the church of his Confirmation, from the casino at Kornmarkt square, where the liberal movements of the time would gather, to the home of his future in-laws on Neustrasse.
